About the Design
This design is from photographs of an 18th century bottle recovered from the bottom 5' of "The South Privy" at The Hannah Callowhill Stage. The bottle has has significant glass sickness, a problem found in low-quality glass where salts in the glass formula leach to the surface and form a flaky iridescent coating.
